DREAM with STEAM Summer Program [ DwS ]

Dream with STEAM is a summer program that our EHS students were elected to participate in because of their active participation in the STEAM to Careers after school program during the Spring semester. While in Dream with Steam our students were able to explore various careers and opportunities in different STEAM industries throughout San Diego County: Maverick Manufacturing, CUBIC, UCSD Health, Solar Turbines, BD, San Diego Safari Park, San Diego Seaworld, and UCSD. Our students were also able to expand their knowledge by participating in career readiness workshops, working on their personal and educational resumes, and interview skills by dressing professionally when visiting the different businesses. Finally, students also improved their leadership and communication skills through team boning activities and team building skills within their teams.  After 4 weeks of dedication and participation 49 of our EHS students received a stipend of $1,000 thanks to the Dream with STEAM program!
