CTE Pathways
At Escondido High School, we prepare students for the future with over 10 dynamic Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. From exploring the world of Agriculture to mastering creative storytelling in Video/Film Production, our programs combine hands-on learning with industry insights. Highlights
- EHS has the largest Livestock Program in San Diego County
- EHS is one of two schools in San Diego County to have the STEAM to Careers afterschool program during the Spring semester. STEAM to Careers is held three days a week for 2 hours for a total of 12-16 weeks. Within the last two years of the program, we have served a total of 235 unduplicated students. Each day consisted of a different pathway within the STEAM industry and was held by one of our partners with guest speakers within the industry and hands on learning. Our students here at EHS have gotten a plethora of hands-on experience and certificates through the healthcare pathway that has been offered; 2 CPR Certifications, First Aid Training, Stop the Bleed Training (Rady Children’s Hospital), Triage for Mass Casualty Training, Narcan Administration Certification, and QPR Suicide Prevention Certified. Students have also learned innovative skills, personal and professional development, and networking skills within their career pathways.
