Advanced Band (Period 4)

Instrumental Performance Ensemble for players at the advanced level. Instrument technique, artistic interpretation of wind ensemble literature, musicianship, and music theory are taught. Fall semester may include participation at Football Games (Marching Band), Pep Rallies (Pep Band), and the Winter Concert at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, CA (Concert Band). Students are assessed throughout the semester on tone production, embouchure, scale knowledge and performance, observance of various notation symbols (i.e. articulations, slurs, ties, and dynamics), as well as accurate rhythm reading and advanced conducting response..
