With this last unit, we are covering terrorism as a whole from the American perspective. It is mostly reading with a few questions. Please take the time to go through this as all of the writing is from scratch on my part. I hope you all learn some interesting things here! :)

This week we will be learning about the Korean War (1950-1953) and the Vietnam War (1954-1975).

We will be covering the key aspects of the Cold War from the American perspective this week despite it normally taking about 2-3 weeks to be covered in a traditional classroom setting. This means we will not get to everything, but you can always explore more. Self-generated curiosity pushes us to learn on our own and retain and critically analyze history for ourselves.

We will be covering the nuclear arms race, the Cuban Missile Crisis, McCarthyism, the Berlin Wall, and other aspects of the Cold War.

Attached below is a Google Doc in which you will answer questions based on readings and video content. At the end of the Google Doc is a bonus video which I found very illuminating. It's not required, but I recommend it for your young, curious teenage minds. Great info!

Read the attached file titled, "The Atomic Bomb" and answer the questions on the Google Doc that is also attached! This covers the atomic bombs that were dropped on two Japanese cities during WWII.

Go to the Japanese Internment website below and open the attached Google Doc for the questions.
