Named after an Escondido native and EHS baseball legend, Pete Coscarart Field is home to Escondido High's baseball team. After his career at EHS, Pete Coscarart went on to play for San Diego State, and he was a standout major league player for both the Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He later played for the Padres in the Pacific Coast League. The field at EHS is named after him in celebration of his accomplishments.
