It is a privilege to serve as principal of Escondido High School. After more than 30 years of experience in education, as a science teacher, assessment specialist, assistant principal and principal, I continue to be inspired and motivated by our youth. My own experiences learning from outstanding high school teachers led me to the university where I earned both my BA and MS in Biology, as well as my teaching credential. I am committed to supporting an environment at Escondido High School that mirrors my own good fortune, where each student can find his/her own niche and source of inspiration. My husband and daughter share my love for learning and both work in another school district. We all love the outdoors — hiking, boating, gardening and playing with our dogs. I am proud to be a Cougar — Loyal, Strong and True!
MR. DENNIS COLLIER

Mr. Collier has served as a junior high and high school teacher, coach, athletic director, dean of students, assistant principal and principal for the past 33 years. He is married with three children — 24-year-old twin boys, and a 26-year-old daughter. Mr. Collier's hobbies include golf, hiking / backpacking, fishing, and tennis.

This is Ms. Roof’s 35th year as an educator, with experience as a teacher, coordinator, and counselor in Arizona, Idaho, and California. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in home economics education and a Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in educational leadership, did graduate study in elementary and special education at University of Arizona and Arizona State University, and completed a post-masters program in school counseling at the University of Phoenix. Ms. Roof has 2 sons. Her oldest son works in the computer industry in Mesa, AZ, and the youngest attends Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, FL. Ms. Roof is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Cougar family; after all she is an Arizona Wildcat! She is proud to be part of the EHS tradition.

I have had the opportunity to work in the Escondido Union High School District for the past 28 years as a Teacher, Coach and currently as Assistant Principal. My wife Pam (counselor at EHS) and I have been married for 28 years. We both enjoy our work with the outstanding students, parents, teachers and staff that make EHS the "Place to Be". Have a great school year and lets "Keep Cougar Pride Alive".
