The Escondido High School Music Boosters Association was established
in 1973 as a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to build partnerships
with the school, parents, students and community. The EHSMBA’s
goal is to promote and support the EHS Music Program in developing student
growth in musicianship, performance, leadership, citizenship and self-discipline,
as well as develop an appreciation for the fine arts.
The Boosters
membership is comprised of parents, interested community members and
students. We have and elected board of directors and act within the
by-laws that govern the Association. We promote programs, events and
competitions for the Concert/Marching Band, Jazz Band, Show Choir, Concert
Choir and Color Guard. Additionally, we coordinate numerous fundraising
events throughout the school year and raise money to provide financial
support to cover competition fees, purchase equipment, uniforms, sheet
music and other supplies the directors may need for the success of the
programs. We also cover supplemental instruction, which is not provided
for by the school budget. Our efforts directly support the implementation
and administration of a successful and competitive music program at
Escondido High School.

The Executive Board and Ms. Simms have decided to hold meetings the first Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. Please call anyone on the Board with any questions you may have. Mr. Torres, our music director, will attend all meetings to discuss and answer parents' questions. We also use the meetings to vote on issues that affect the music program, assign committees for upcoming fund-raising events, and to keep parents informed about what the Music Boosters are doing. All parents and staff are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Membership is automatically extended to parents or legal guardians of
students participating in the Music Department at Escondido High School.
Sustaining membership is open to any adult interested in music and specialty
corps programs at Escondido High School.

feel free to download a copy of our by-laws.
