PLANNING A REUNION? LOOKING FOR YOUR REUNION?

One of the most common questions we get at our email address is: "When is my reunion happening?" As a result, we've created the following section to educate you and clear up some confusion about how reunions are planned, and how they ultimately appear here on The Alumni Connection:

• Fact: We receive many emails
  Contrary to what many people believe, EHS does not have a "team" of Web designers. Instead, EHS has one Web designer. He has a very limited number of hours during the week with which to work on the site and respond to the many emails he receives. One of the most common types of email that he receives is from alumni who don't see their reunion posted here and want to know when it is taking place.
• Fact: Reunions are NOT planned and organized by EHS
  EHS is not the organization responsible for planning class reunions. Instead, class reunions are organized by each graduating class' reunion committee. As a result...
• EHS does not know about reunions until it has been informed by a reunion organizing committee. Because the school does not organize reunions, it cannot possibly know about them until a reunion committee sends the info to the Web designer. Once we receive reunion info, we post it online within days. We do not withhold reunion information once we receive it. Thus, if you don't see reunion info for your graduating class, please do not email us and ask when your reunion is taking place. In the future, any emails like these will be discarded and will not receive a reply. Sorry for sounding cold and uncaring. We really do care about keeping you connected to alumni events, and we have created The Alumni Connection to do just that. However, the Web designer simply does not have the time to answer all the emails that come in regarding reunions. We are very sorry for this.
• I'm organizing a reunion. Where do I send info to so it can be posted online? If you are organizing a reunion and have not yet informed us, we would love to hear from you. Please send any reunion info to webdesigner@ehscougars.com. That is the Web designer's email address, and you will receive a response from him within two days of sending the email. Your reunion info should include: reunion dates, times, costs, locations, contact info, RSVP deadlines, etc. Along with your email, please attach any Word documents, PDF documents, or other important files that could be included as downloads from the Web site (if applicable).

We hope that this has cleared up some of the confusion you may have had regarding the planning and posting of reunions. We are committed to making The Alumni Connection the best place for EHS alumni to learn more about their class reunions, and with your help, we can do just that.
